Approx Tech ("we", "us", "our") operates the mobile application VoxCube (the "App"). This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and how you can exercise your rights. By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect and process the following categories of information when you use VoxCube:

• Account information: When you sign in with Google or Apple we receive your first name, last name, and email address.
• Audio recordings: Voice journal entries you record inside the App.
• Transcriptions & analysis: Audio files are transcribed into text and processed for sentiment analysis; those transcriptions and analysis results are stored.
• Calendar & journal metadata: Timestamps and metadata about when entries were created or edited.
• Generated summaries: Weekly summaries you generate via the App.
• Device permissions: Microphone (to record audio) and Notifications (for daily reminders) — you must grant these explicitly.
• Usage data: Anonymous analytics, crash reports and performance data collected via Firebase.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the data we collect to:

• Provide and operate app features — recording, transcription, sentiment scoring, calendar view, and summaries.
• Authenticate and manage your account (Google / Apple sign-in).
• Store and sync your journal entries across devices.
• Process subscription payments and manage entitlements through Adapty.
• Send optional notifications and reminders (when enabled).
• Improve the App and fix issues using analytics and crash reports.

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We only share data with third-party service providers when necessary to operate the App. These providers are contractually required to protect your data and use it only for the agreed purposes.

• OpenAI: We send audio files and related data to OpenAI API to perform speech-to-text transcription, sentiment analysis, and summary generation.
• Firebase: For analytics, crash reporting, and performance monitoring.
• Adapty: For handling subscriptions and payment-related operations.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored both locally on your device and on our secure servers. We use industry-standard measures such as encryption in transit and at rest to protect user data. While we strive to protect your information, no system is completely secure — absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Retention: We retain your account data and journal entries for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. If you request deletion, we will remove your data as described in Your Rights & Choices.

5. Children's Privacy

VoxCube is not specifically designed for children under 13. We do not intentionally collect personal information from children. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal data to us, please contact us at info@approx.tech and we will delete the information promptly.

6. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data; to withdraw consent; and to receive a copy of your data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@approx.tech.

Account deletion: If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data from our systems within a reasonable timeframe, except for data we are legally required to retain.

7. Third-Party Links & Services

The App may include links to third-party websites or services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties. We recommend reviewing their privacy policies before sharing personal information.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. When we do, we will update the "Effective Date" shown at the top and notify users through the App where appropriate. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the revised policy.
